ABOUT THE ARTISANS

Meet the hands that made it

Made in the heart of Jaipur by the Sharma family workshop, where blue pottery has been a way of life for over 150 years. The lead artisan, Anil Sharma, learned the technique as a boy, from mixing natural pigments to firing the fragile clay at low temperatures. He says, “When you drink from a cup I’ve painted, you taste more than tea — you taste the patience of my family’s hands.” Gullye partners directly with Anil’s workshop to ensure fair wages, sustainable practices, and a future for this endangered art.
