ABOUT THE ARTISANS

Meet the hands that made it

In a small atelier in Jaipur’s Zaveri Bazaar, Parveen Ansari works alongside his sister and uncle, a family that has shaped brass for over three generations.
Parveen speaks of coins as “lucky whispers,” carefully attaching each one so that the clutch sings with movement.
Praveen says i says, “Every piece should carry a sound, so you remember you’re alive.”
He remembers his grandmother’s anklets—the sound of ghungroos at weddings and fairs—and folds those memories into every design.
For him, this isn’t work; it’s legacy. And when you carry this clutch, you carry Parveen’s story—his family’s belief that beauty should protect you, delight you, and last forever.
