ABOUT THE ARTISANS
Meet the hands that made it
In the heart of Jaipur’s centuries‑old jeweler’s quarter, Shabnam Devi works with hands that have known this craft since childhood.
Her grandmother taught her the patience of Kundan setting—“Each stone must sit like a star,” she would say. Shabnam’s family has been setting Kundan for over 60 years, their techniques passed like a secret language from one generation to the next.
She spends hours hunched over this very clutch, placing each stone by hand, wiping sweat from her brow in Jaipur’s afternoon heat, humming softly as she works.
When you carry this piece, you carry Shabnam’s legacy—her pride, her art, and her belief that beauty made slowly will always outlast the seasons.
