  • Embedded, Not Glued.

In the jewelry markets of Jaipur, Jadau is the mark of high craft.

Master Jeweler Ratan does not use adhesives. To create this elephant, he uses the Jadau technique literally translating to "embedding."

First, the silver framework is heated until it is just soft enough to work. Then, Ratan carefully pushes each emerald-colored stone into the metal grid. As the silver cools, it contracts, locking the stone in place forever.

This creates a smooth, flush surface that you can run your finger over without feeling a single rough edge. It transforms a simple symbol into a piece of permanent architecture.

    "Strength lies in the structure."
