A clear faceted glass crystal, mirror-bright, ringed by a halo of black enamel painted by hand: an eclipse for the finger. The band is solid brass under heavy 22k gold plating, with a face about 1" across and an adjustable fit from US 5 to 9.
The black halo is hand-painted, so its edge is drawn, not stamped, and every ring's eclipse is fractionally its own. One piece, worn alone, that finishes a whole hand.

In design, the circle is the perfect shape. It has no beginning and no end.
Master Artisan Ratan designed this ring to be a "Daily Armor." The challenge here is the setting. The central stone is massive. To keep it secure without heavy prongs, Ratan uses a "Bezel Setting"encasing the entire rim of the stone in gold-plated brass.
He then paints a thin line of black enamel around the edge. This black "kohl" rim makes the clear stone pop, creating a stark, graphic contrast that looks as good with a white t-shirt as it does with an evening gown.
