FAQs
FAQs
Q What does it fit ?
Designed for evening essentials: lipstick, cardholder, keys, and a compact. Due to the sculptural cylindrical silhouette, phones do not fit.
Q Can I wear it as a shoulder bag or only top-handle?
Both. The Dholak has a dual-wear design - carry it by the rigid brass top handle for a structured, royal look or attach the detachable gold chain for a hands-free shoulder drape.
Q What are the tassels on the sides?
The side tassels are a direct nod to the tuning ropes of a real dholak drum - they add movement and grace as you walk. They are hand-finished and part of what makes this bag feel alive. Store in your Gullye dust bag to keep them from tangling.

The Story Behind
-
The Heartbeat of the Wedding.
In India, no celebration is complete without the "Dholak" the drum that sets the rhythm for the Sangeet nights and wedding songs. It is the sound of joy.
Master Artisan Vereen translates this sound into metal. Creating this "perfect cylinder" is one of the most difficult tasks in the workshop. Unlike flat bags, the brass sheet must be hand-rolled and hammered into a curve without cracking or denting the intricate flower patterns embossed upon it.
It takes 22 days to complete a single Dholak bag. The side tassels are a nod to the tuning ropes of the real drum, adding movement and grace as you walk. When you carry this, you carry the spirit of festivity.
"Life has a rhythm. Carry it with you."
