He uses a small iron chisel and wooden mallet, with no stencils or machinery. One side of this bag requires over 4,000 individual hammer taps. There are no two identical pieces.

The Master of "Nakshi"
To understand the value of this bag, you must meet Master Artisan Vereen.
Vereen is a fourth-generation Nakkashi (engraver) from the Kansari community, a lineage of metalworkers that dates back 400 years. In a world of laser-cutting and 3D printing, Vereen refuses to use electricity.
The Process: It takes 20 days to create a single Amour Heart. First, the solid brass is cast in sand molds, a technique unchanged since the Bronze Age. But the true labor begins when the metal cools. Vereen uses a small iron chisel and a wooden mallet to tap the "Bird & Vine" design directly into the hard metal.
There are no stencils. No delete buttons. Just rhythm. It is estimated that one side of this bag requires over 4,000 individual taps of the hammer. One slip would ruin the entire piece.
Why This Matters: When you hold this bag, you are holding 20 days of a man’s life. You are protecting a dying art form from being forgotten. This is not just an accessory; it is an artifact.
