The Oyster
The maker's mark
The oyster does not announce what it holds; it simply holds it. This gathered dome clutch is woven in a soft silver-grey jacquard with a whispered botanical motif and a natural wood frame, a color that asks nothing of the room and owns it anyway. The quietest bag in the collection.

How does it differ from The Vendôme?
Both share the wooden ball-top frame and detachable sling; beyond that they are opposites. The Vendôme is structured, bold, and colorful. The Oyster is gathered, muted, and silver-grey. One announces; the other does not.
What is the fabric?
A silver-grey jacquard with a tonal botanical motif woven in. The pattern is subtle and reveals itself the longer you look. The gathered body is soft and draped rather than structured.
What fits inside?
At 11" wide and 8" tall it holds a phone, small wallet, keys, lipstick, and touch-up essentials. The gathered body expands gently to fit its contents.
How do I carry it?
Three ways. By the wooden frame as a clutch, on the sling over the shoulder, or lengthened for crossbody.
Is it vegan?
Yes. Jacquard fabric, soft cotton lining, and a natural wood frame. No animal products.
The story
The Oyster was designed on that principle. The silver-grey jacquard carries a botanical motif so subtle it reveals itself slowly, the longer you look, the more you see. The gathered body pools softly beneath the wooden frame, shaped by how it is held rather than by internal structure. It takes the form of the moment.
The wooden ball-top frame is the same as the Vendôme, warm and tactile, the one detail that links the two across their difference. The magnetic closure hides beneath the dome, and the detachable sling takes it from clutch to shoulder to crossbody without changing what it is.
The most discerning people in a room are often the quietest. They have nothing to prove. Neither does this bag.
Say nothing. Hold everything.

The specification
The Oyster has two materials, the silver-grey jacquard and the natural wooden frame. For the fabric: press the exterior gently with a soft damp cloth; do not hand wash, machine wash, tumble dry, or dry clean. The gathered body is delicate, so avoid snagging it on sharp surfaces or jewelry, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight. For the wood: wipe with a dry soft cloth only and keep it away from water and humidity. Store in the Gullye dust bag.
In confidence

The oyster is the least assuming creature in the ocean. It does not move or display. It sits on the floor, closed and unremarkable, and inside, over years, it makes something empresses have worn around their necks. The pearl is not despite the plainness of the shell. It is because of it. Restraint is how the oyster works.
