Does it fit a phone?
No. At 5"W × 4"H × 0.75"D it is made for essentials, a cardholder, lipstick, keys, and a compact. Smartphones do not fit.
Will the coins snag on clothing?
The hand-wired fringe can catch on loose-knit fabrics like chunky sweaters. Pair it with smooth fabrics, silk, satin, tailored wool, and store it flat in the Gullye dust bag to prevent tangling.
Does it actually make sound when you move?
Yes, by design. Each coin, bead, and pearl is wired by hand until the fringe is balanced, so it chimes and sways as you walk. No two sound exactly alike.
The story
Master Artisan Vereen calls it the traveler. Where most of the bags are cast in a single mold, this one is assembled. First the two-tone body, the warmth of gold brass against a cooler band of silver. Then the slow part: each coin, bead, and pearl is wired onto the bag by hand. The balance has to be exact, too many and it is heavy, too few and it does not sing.
It takes three full days just to assemble the fringe for one bag. The result moves with you, swaying and chiming through the night.
Some bags hold your things. This one holds a mood.

Gullye makes sculptural pieces by hand, in small editions, with master artisans in Jaipur. Once an edition sells out, it is retired.
The specification
This bag has many moving parts, so handle it with care. Avoid snagging the fringe on loose-knit clothing. To clean, gently polish the gold and silver bands with a jewelry cloth. Store it flat in the Gullye dust bag to prevent tangling.
In confidence

Luxury is usually silent. This one is not. It was made to be heard.
